I Certainly appreciate your Kind comments, I am Very fond of this rifle myself it is the Crown Jewel of my rifle collection. Having used them for a number of years I have fond memories. There is a Lot of good reading about the Husqvarna rifles in this Link below I enjoyed it myself, I hope Ya'll do as well. John Huber is a very Talented Engineer that has Taken the time to design a trigger to fit the Husqvarna' without any Modification's unlike the Timney triggers, I am really looking forward to Installing one in my gun soon and should have it within the next day or so. The Timney Trigger was Not an Option for me as the last thing I would want to do is hack up the Gourgeous wood of my Husqvarna rifle. It requires removal of stock wood to fit the Husqvarna action and also there is some safety fitting by removing More of the stock wood as well. Prior to this, the only option was a Timney trigger which is called a Sportsman Trigger. His frictionless Ball baring Patented trigger is a drop in style for the Husqvarna model 1640 action that does not require removal of any stock wood. I spent a good amount of time on the phone with the owner of Huber Concept's John Huber, he is very Passionate for perfection. I surmise that you have the later made 1900 action rifle ? I say this as the model 1640 action's Did Not have an adjustable trigger, Nor any stages to their let off. Very simple and compact so the stock is not weakened by wood The stock triggers are basically a slightly modified military type withĪ single stage pull as opposed to the two stage military. It is the lightweight with 20 1/2" barrel in 30-06. Regards, Hammerdownīest Aftermarket Rifle Triggers Reviews and Muzzle Brakes If this Interests you here is a link to his web page or stay tuned to watch this new project unfold, Pictures and dialog to follow. He is currently the only Manufacturer out there to make a totally drop in trigger for the Husqvarna rifles Timney offer's a trigger but it requires much stock modification to use their trigger as well as a Safety lever Modification, of which I am not Patrial to and the last thing I want to do was butcher a prefectly Good French Walnut stock. It should be here shortly so when it show's up, I have agreed to follow up with an in Depth article on his trigger's as well as show the accuracy result's of his ball bearing friction less triggers. This new Ball bearing designed trigger will allow owner's of Husqvarna's to use his trigger with No stock alteration's Nor safety lever issues & It is now finished and John Has agreed to send me one as well as two more trigger assemblies that are in their final stages of R&D. I had some Deep conversation with the owner of the company John Huber, he is very passionate for perfection as well as rifle accuracy and has chosen the fabulous Husqvarna Husqvarna rifle to mock up a drop in trigger assembly for. it is a fully adjustable trigger for let off as well as creep. It is made by Huber Concepts and is called their Ball bearing Friction less competition trigger. I looked at options and located a great one for the Husqvarna rifles. There is one draw back that really annoy's me though and that is a Terrible Trigger with a wicked high Pound rated trigger pull. It is chambered in Springfield 30-06 and is a fine accurate gun. It is an "A" Grade gun with the High Gloss Urethane stock, fine checking and high Polished bluing. I use the gun Lightly to Hunt Deer with, but it has always' Hindered me due to it's Horrid Trigger Pull.
I own one made in 1967 that has the Model 1640 action. As some of you Know S&W used to Import some fine rifle's one being the high quality Husqvarna rifles.
